Course Description
Students learn the basics of pattern-making starting from the skirt block. Various professional techniques are used to identify the appropriate modifications in adapting blocks into diverse styles. In the second half of the semester students are introduced to industrial sewing machines and their applications. Students learn about the importance of a range of construction techniques for different fabrics, and acquire the skills to apply those construction techniques pragmatically.
