EFFORT TO REVIVE URDU LANGUAGE THROUGH STORYTELLING IN GRADE SEVEN ART CLASS

This study, explores the impacts of Urdu storytelling and how it can have multiple effects on students' learning. It explores the challenges faced by teachers and students within the classroom where Urdu and Art are not considered as important as other subjects. This study has been conducted using action research with grade seven students at Lahore Grammar School. Data was collected through teachers' interviews, class observations, video and audio documentation and student feedback. The whole activity, integrated Urdu and art lesson were observed and analyzed in the light of 21st century learning skills. The findings of the study address multiple issues faced by the teachers, students and suggest options to deal with students' learning and engagement issues, by using integration of subjects.
